Are you an experienced GDC Registered Dental Nurse looking to progress into a leadership role where you can make a real difference?

Kingsclere Dental Practice is looking for a Lead Dental Nurse to join our friendly, well-established team. This is an exciting opportunity to combine hands-on clinical nursing with leadership responsibilities, supporting the day-to-day running of the practice while mentoring and developing your fellow nursing team.

The Role

As Lead Dental Nurse, you'll continue to provide outstanding chairside support while taking responsibility for leading and coordinating the nursing team.

Working closely with the Practice Manager and clinicians, you'll help ensure the smooth day-to-day operation of the practice, maintaining exceptional clinical standards and delivering an outstanding patient experience.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading, supporting and motivating the dental nursing team.
  • Acting as a role model, providing day-to-day guidance and mentoring.
  • Chairside nursing across a range of treatments, with a strong focus on implant dentistry.
  • Supporting the induction and development of new team members.
  • Monitoring compliance and infection prevention and control standards.
  • Overseeing decontamination processes and clinical governance.
  • Managing stock levels and ordering clinical supplies.
  • Supporting the Practice Manager with rota planning and operational organisation.
  • Working collaboratively with the wider practice team to deliver exceptional patient care.

Working Pattern

This is a full-time, permanent position, working 41.25 hours per week.

Working hours: Monday to Friday: 8:00am – 5:15pm

About You

The successful candidate will have:

  • GDC Registered Dental Nurse status.
  • A minimum of two years' post-qualification experience.
  • Implant nursing experience (essential).
  • Previous experience mentoring or supporting colleagues, or the ambition to progress.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • A positive, caring, empathetic and patient-focused approach with a genuine 'can-do' attitude.
  • The ability to lead by example and work collaboratively within a supportive team.
  • A passion for delivering exceptional patient care while maintaining high clinical and compliance standards.
